In a scathing rejoinder, the congressman referred to the pastor as a failed human being and urged him to take notice of his HIV infection, which he acquired through homos3xuality.

“Look at this miserable person trying to call me out. Go take care of your HIV infection, which you have as a result of being gay. You no reach, as they say in Nigeria, your native nation! You’re off!” George Sam tweeted.

The title of the LGBTQ+ legislation up for vote in parliament is “The Promotion of Proper S3xual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill 2021.” It is a Private Members’ Bill supported by both political parties.

Sam Nartey George (MP, Ningo Prampram), Emmanuel Bedzrah (MP, Ho West), Della Adjoa Sowah (MP, Kpando), and the other eight MPs are the bill’s sponsors.

The remaining sponsors are Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor (MP, South Dayi), Rita Naa Odoley Sowah (MP, La Dadekotopon), Helen Adjoa Ntoso (MP, Krachi West), and Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini (MP, Tamale North).
