“Beyoncé came as my angel,” I said, “but I’m the demon in my nation.” Shatta Wale.

“…Ghana has a terrible music scene.” Ooo, we’ve watched musicians come and go and come and go, and every time we try to talk to them in this way, they remain silent. My heart is frightened, and I need money.

Do you recall when Mark Okraku-Mantey first began to obstruct me? began claiming that I wouldn’t succeed and that I would never achieve anything in life…? Asked Shatta Wale.

He recalled a time when the deputy minister attempted to reason with him on the air, revealing that he had declined to participate in a radio interview. Mark Okraku-Mantey, Hitz’s then-programs manager, then declared that the station would invent its own hero to compete with Shatta Wale; in this case, Stonebwoy.

They are deciding that Mark Okraku-Mantey is the issue with the whole music business. When he was Hitz FM’s programmes manager, he claimed on the air that because Shatta Wale was called for an interview but didn’t show up, the station decided to make Stonebwoy its own hero.

"Beyoncé came as my angel," I said, "but I'm the demon in my nation." Shatta Wale.
