After the sing-a-thon record, Afua thanked Ghanaians for their love and prayers, which gave her the strength.

She had matched the hours recorded by the current record holder for the longest vocal performance, Sunil Waghmare of India, who sang for 105 hours, 24 hours prior.

A number of well-known Ghanaians descended upon Akwaaba village to show their support for the journalist and previous beauty queen.

Actors and artists who have supported her in person over the past five days include Becca, Cina Soul, Sista Afia, Kwabena Kwabena, Eno Barony, Kobi Rana, Sarkodie, and Nana Ama McBrown.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president of Ghana and leader of the ruling NPP, was also present to boost spirits for the record attempt.
