Government introduces double intake in the 2018/2019 academic year.


The president of the Republic of Ghana ,Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has asserted that there will be the introduction of double intake of students in the next academic year so as to promote Fluid admission.

Speaking with parents and teachers at tamale during his three days visit in the region last week to see how the region is improving and how possible best to improve the standard of their living and the township as a whole.

According to the president ,he is ever ready to put every ordinary Ghanaian into school since to every development country education is a key.

Touching on the issue of double intake system of admitting students into the second cycle education ,he is putting this method in place so as to reduce congestions in the dormitories that we have in most of the secondary schools and government is ever ready to construct more dormitories to enhance comfortable living in schools.

Adding ,President Akuffo Addo Stated vividly that the double intake system of admitting students who are newly entering will be in two semesters as compared to the tertiary system of education.

First badge students are to spend first two months on campus and then go for vacation for the next badge to resume school for teaching and learning to proceed.

We are going to deploy 8,000 teachers all over the second cycle schools that we have in this country to improve our educational system ,he said.

Ghanaians should note that this system is not going to be like the shift system of schooling that we used to have in the past years.
